A name, phone number, or address entered into a search box is sent to the independent provider that operates that result service. Maplewood Residents Directory does not retain a separate copy of those queries on its own servers. If you contact us, we receive the contents of that message and use them to respond.
Routine Technical Data
The hosting service may generate ordinary logs, including an IP address, browser information, visited pages, and timestamps. We review aggregate activity to maintain the service and understand which reference pages are useful. Cookies or similar tools may support basic analytics and, where applicable, advertising measurement.
How Limited Data Is Used
Technical information supports operation, troubleshooting, traffic measurement, and reference-page improvements. We do not sell visitor lists or construct individual visitor profiles.
Outside Services and Links
Links lead to municipal, county, state, library, archive, and independent search services. Their own privacy terms control information submitted on those services. That includes the sponsored-result provider displayed through the search tools.
Service Providers and Disclosure
Hosting and support providers process the technical logs needed to operate the service. Analytics and advertising partners may receive the automatic information described above. Disclosure occurs when valid legal process requires it or as otherwise required by law.
Safeguards and Retention
The service uses an encrypted connection, and routine logs are retained only for the operational purposes described here. There are no user accounts, passwords, or visitor profiles maintained by this reference.
Visitors Under 18
This reference is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a person under 18. If you believe a minor sent us information, contact us so it can be removed.
Your Privacy Requests
Depending on the applicable law, visitors may have rights concerning personal data a service retains. New Jersey's consumer-privacy framework is P.L. 2023, c.266, N.J.S.A. 56:8-166.4 et seq., subject to its public-information and other statutory boundaries. Because this reference keeps very little information, a request normally involves the contact mailbox and operational logs. Use the Contact page to make a request. Records held by Maplewood, Essex County, or New Jersey custodians are outside our control and must be addressed to that custodian.
